Food and Drink Forum West
Due to industry demand, the successful Scottish Food and Drink Forum for the West of Scotland has been re-formed, with initial two year support from Scottish Enterprise. The Forum will benefit companies and organisations associated with the food and drink sector, and its objectives are:
- to be part of the Scotland Food and Drink strategy
- to engage the wider food and drink industry
- to encourage the sharing of knowledge, best practice and collaboration on a regional basis
- to involve the industry in the management and delivery of the programme
Lean Manufacturing and its Positive Impact on Profitability
Thursday 18th September, The Edrington Group, Glasgow
This event will take place on Thursday 18th September, from 3pm to 6pm at The Edrington Group’s manufacturing facilities and head offices in Glasgow (see directions below). With a line up of excellent speakers, delegates will learn about the benefits of Lean Manufacturing. For example, find out how The Edrington Group has achieved annual savings of £1 million, and take the opportunity to tour the drinks company’s manufacturing facilities. Also, hear presentations from McVities and the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Services, and utilise this opportunity to put forward questions to the panel of experts and practitioners.

Venue Directions
Join the M8 motorway towards Glasgow and take the exit sign posted Clyde tunnel. Straight through the tunnel and follow the dual carriageway for approximately two miles until you reach the intersection at Anniesland Cross. Turn left, following the road signposted A82 Dumbarton. Stay on dual carriageway (Great Western Road) for approximately 3 miles. Take exit for Old Drumchapel. At T-junction turn left. The Edrington Group is on the left hand side after the railway bridge.
